From Kenya to the Philippines, these waterfall hikes around the world reward travelers with beautiful views.

Either way, the extra effort getting there will make the reward that much sweeter.

The park has seven waterfalls, 16 lakes, andseveral established trails.

The waterfall sits on land administered by the Havasupai Tribe and is not accessible by road.

Night hiking is not allowed, so you’ll need to stay overnight in the canyon.

Upon arriving in the village, the trek to the falls takes around 45 minutes.

Along the way, you’ll pass theBatad rice terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stefossen, Norway

To see not one, but four waterfalls, head to Norway’sHardangervidda National Park.

The trip usually takes about five to six hours, so start early and pack a lunch.

Blackwater Falls, West Virginia

Boasting over 200 cascades, West Virginia is teeming with waterfall hikes.

Fortunately, its off-the-beaten-path location has kept it free from crowds.
