Even if your chosen airline doesn’t offer student discounts, there are still ways to save.

United Airlines

United is the only major domestic airline to make this list.

To book, simply register for Travel ID and verify your student status.

While the airline promises “significant savings” on its website, the exact percentage is not specified.

Keep in mind that student fares are only offered in economy class.

Prospective passengers must becomeKrisFlyer membersand be enrolled at an eligible college or university to get these discounted fares.

For other flights, there is a 200 ($217.29) change fee.

While refunds are possible, they come with a 250 ($271.62) cancellation fee.
