Our favorite feature was by far the pockets.
We found the fit to be a bit on the large side.
The jacket shook out quickly after unpacking and any minor wrinkles faded within a few minutes.
Its warm for how light it is, and we were happy with the full range of motion.
We ordered our usual size and did find it to be roomier than we thought.
We found this less breathable than other wind shells.
The only issue we ran into with this jacket was the breathability.
We found ourselves feeling stuffy during activities, and felt like the sweat was building up without moisture management.
Its styled more like a windbreaker, so you dont get any insulating qualities.
It was even protective in rain thanks to the DWR treatment and waterproof interior coating.
This model doesnt come with a hood.
The Nano Puff Jacket has been around for years in varying styles, weights, and models.
The look of this jacket might be too technical for some people.
The Transcendent Down Hoodie is another staple in the outdoor realm.
In fact, the 2015 version of this jacket was my insulation layer during my 2,000-mile Appalachian Trail thru-hike.

This is thin for a parka and not as warm as wed like.

This jacket fit so nicely we even forgot we were wearing it at times.
The shell material is a tough, highly water-resistant and made of abrasion-proof Pertex Quantum material.

We focused on the best combination of warmth, protection, weight, and packability.
This means its important to consider what youre using your jacket for.
If youre heading somewhere cold, look for a jacket with down or synthetic insulation.
For active layers, look for breathable shell materials.
For warm weather or anything above treeline, I look for fully windproof, preferably breathable materials.
I also look for internal zippered pockets to carry my hotel card and wallet without needing a separate purse.
When looking for travel-friendly materials, I like synthetic insulation.
Finally, look for versatility.
