Consider packability
Its no secret that boots are difficult to pack in a carry-on.
Knee-high or taller boots will take up more room, but rubber boots will likely be heavier and clunkier.
In general, waterproof boots should wipe clean to look as good as new.
Rubber boots can even be hosed down and require very little maintenance to keep clean.
This will vary based on the brand.
