The sleeves may be too long for some people.
It may not hold up against abrasive surfaces.
Ideal for alpine adventures, this jacket was made for movement and all-day wear.
The outer layer is lightweight yet warm ideal for layering and the soft material is comfortable to wear.
It runs a little small, so some body types may want to size up.
We even rode a motorcycle in it and didnt have any issues with warmth.
However, thats probably why it helps keep warmth in so well.
Its too light for deep winter and is not windproof.
The jacket has trouble venting if you really get moving.
The Breithorn is the latter.
We think the fit is great, albeit slimmer than initially expected.
But since its so warm, we dont think it needs to have a ton of room for layers.
Its not very breathable, so we wouldnt wear it for mild weather or winter sports.
The jacket also packs down quite small, making it ideal for travel or commuting.
Its so tiny and light that we thought the package was empty when it arrived for testing.
It lacks the warmth and technical acumen of pricier jackets.
If you need something more affordable, packable, and layerable, the Decathlon Forclaz ticks all the boxes.

The more body heat your down jacket can use, the warmer youll be.
You may prefer a jacket with an adjustable hood or even a removable hood to make it more versatile.
