Vavau, it turned out, was a beach we could hike to straight from the resort.
Its his favorite beach on the island, yet few tourists know it exists unless they stay at Seabreeze.
He pointed us in the trails direction.
Frank and I decided to make an afternoon of it.
The temperature hadnt dropped by the time we made the return hike, hence the extra-long plunge-pool soak.
Yet somehow, we cobbled together outfits and arrived in time for our usual spot before sunset.

Come Saturday and Sunday for wood-fired pizza topped with inventive Samoan twists like tiger prawns and fresh local chili.
Breakfast is simple: fresh juices, honey-drizzled yogurt and muesli, and eggs.
