For many, retirement means relocating to a new city to make their dollar stretch.
And GoBankingRates has an idea of where you should go in the U.S. to do just that.
In March, the website released its list of the50 cheapest places to retire across the U.S. And the winner was Akron, Ohio, which came up as the most affordable retirement destination.

GoBankingRates reports that a retiree can expect to spend just under $1,700 a month.
The company also noted that the city’s livability score is a healthy 81.
The city is also just eight miles away fromOhio’s only national park, Cuyahoga Valley.
Akron also has some of themost affordable real estatein the countryZillow reportsthat the median home value is $132,233.
