Campsites can be reserved up to six months in advance on recreation.gov at a nightly rate of $20.

There are also remote sites for backpackers.

Travelers who want to play in Medano Creek should visit in late May and early June.

The park is just under four hours fromDenver International Airportand just over two-and-a-half hours from Colorado Springs.

Visitors can jump into the parkat any hour, all year round.
