collects as much as 10,000 pounds of cans left by revelers.

The collected cans are recycled locally, where theyre traded in for market rate for the scrap aluminum.

The proceeds, which are matched by Every Can Count, are then donated directly to local charities.

It has, to date, collected and recycled over 300,000 cans that would otherwise end up in landfills.

It’s an added plus that Recycle Dats efforts have yielded thousands of dollars for local charities.

As the saying (kinda) goes: one citys trash can also be the same citys treasure.
