Location
As the small island it is, Ios is best reached by water.
If your trip allows it, I recommend flying into Santorini first.
The international airport accepts most direct or connecting flights, depending on your departure location.
Getting on one of the larger ferries is always better for those prone to seasickness.
It can sometimes take a little longer, but the ride can be much smoother.
