I made my way to the Whale Watching Bar several times during my stay.

(I can confirm the grilled limpets are divine.)

On another day, I toured a nearby market and a pineapple greenhouse.

At the former, I learned that 70 percent of all dairy products from Portugal come from the Azores.

Tucked away behind the bar is a sushi speakeasy featuring local ingredients.

Our tip is to time your visit around sunset to enjoy the outdoor views.

The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from Joao Paulo II Airport (PDL).

While there are many flights to PDL via Lisbon, travelers can also find direct flights.
