Aman made its East Coast debut in 2022, marking its first urban outpost in the United States.
But the underground Jazz Club is open to the public, and it is exceptional.

As you might expect, it is not a particularly quiet place to stay.
Where else would you find Princess Diana, Michael Jackson, and Steve Jobs riding the same elevator?

As is the case with most hotels in the city, the rooms become better the higher the floor.
Request a south- or west-facing room for the best views of the park and the Manhattan skyline.

Celebrities arealwayschecked in, especially around the Tribeca Film Festival, so youll often find paparazzi at the entrance.
Rooms are designed with homey interiors that feel more like someones private apartment than cookie-cutter hotel rooms.

Youll want to make restaurant reservations in advance.
Whats different about this property, though, is its stunning, postcard views of the Lower Manhattan skyline.

Its one of the more expensive hotels uptown.
Mandarin Oriental does luxury well, and its five-star New York location is no exception.

The spaces are adorned in the Asian-influenced interiors that are true to the brands eastern origins.
The rooftop bar draws long lines in the summer months, so youll want to arrive early.
Each of the 195 rooms are modern, light filled, and controlled by iPads.

I’m also a big fan of the hotel’s eco-friendly features and mission.
There is no spa on-site, so youll need to go elsewhere for any post-flight rejuvenation.
Industrial-hip is how you would describe the Wythe, Williamsburgs first hotel, occupying a factory building from 1901.
